Fun Anniversary Trip!

For our 15th anniversary we went to see Wicked in L.A. and went to Disneyland and Universal Studios last week. It was a fun 3 day get away from the kids! (Thanks to the Heber crew for helping to watch the kids). It was sunny and a little chilly, but better than the freezing cold weather in Utah! We had a lot of fun going on all the rides at Disneyland and California Adventure. Our favorite ride was Soarin' over California! We can't wait to go again in the next year or two and bring the kids!

Summer Fun!

Our family has had some fun Saturdays the past few weeks. We have enjoyed different sites around the area. We hiked Stewart Falls, rode the Alpine Slide and Coaster, hiked Ensign Peak, went to the Children's Museum, and had a fun tour of the Conference Center. Our tour guide was my mom! The kids have done so well hiking that we have decided to do more hikes each week until the weather gets too cold!

First Day of School!

Today is the first day of school for the kids. Caden is in 6th grade, Kaitlyn is in 4th grade, Mckay is in 1st grade, and Jackson is in preschool! We are excited about the teachers they have! It's going to be a great year!

Two weeks ago I was rear ended by a car that ended up totalling the back of my minivan! Thank goodness my 3 year old and I were fine. Just our minivan looked bad. It was hard to say goodbye to our Sienna because we had it for five years and it held some great memories for our family. We went car shopping for a week hoping to find a similar Toyota Sienna. Unfortunately they are hard to come by because they are such good cars. But we found this 2007 Honda Odyssey! So far we love it! We are still adjusting to it, but think it will be a great car for our family.

Mckay had a fun 6th birthday on Thursday! He wanted an R2D2 cake. I warned him it would be difficult to do and might not turn out so good. He liked it anyway. Unfortunately the legs kept trying to fall apart. But you can tell what it should be. I can't believe Mckay is 6 now! Has it really been that long since I had all of those health problems! Time goes by so fast!

Just an update on Mckay's leg. He got the cast off a couple of weeks ago and they gave him a fracture boot to wear. He will wear that for 3 more weeks or so depending on how things go. At least now he can wash his leg now and walk everywhere. He's been pretty active on it. What a trooper!

Mckay's Wheelchair!

Mckay broke his leg skiing last weekend! The first few days he was in a lot of pain, but he is doing much better now. Right now his leg has a splint, but they will put a cast on it this week. The doctors won't let him use crutches because they say too many kids this age forget they have a broken leg, put weight on it, and do more damage. So Mckay has a wheelchair for a few weeks until they think he is ready to start walking on it. Mckay has had fun with his wheelchair! He is pretty good at getting around the house and is not so dependent on us as much. We're just happy that he didn't need surgery! We are becoming well known at Primary Children's Hospital with everything Mckay has gone through the past 3 months!

Chocolate Houses!

Kaitlyn had a fun 9th Birthday yesterday! We enjoyed helping her eat her birthday donut tower! For dinner, Kaitlyn chose to eat at Italian Village. They have yummy food and great prices! Kaitlyn chose this place so that she could have spaghetti, her favorite food. And yes Kaitlyn is wearing glasses in the picture. She got them today and loves them - which I'm happy about. We found out a few weeks ago that Kaitlyn failed the vision screening test at her school. We were quite surprised, because she has never had a problem before. But it is just one eye that is farsighted. So the eye doctor recommended glasses, especially for school. We think she looks great in them!

This year Kaitlyn was a black cat; Jackson was Thomas the Train, Mckay was an airplane pilot, and Caden was a scientist (not a mad scientist - just a regular one)! The kids had a blast trick or treating and got way too much candy!

In case you didn't hear, Mckay was in the hospital for 3 days a couple of weeks ago for a serious infection. He had a sinus infection that got worse and turned into an abscess below his eye. It was serious enough that the doctors were worried the infection could spread. Thankfully we were able to catch it before it got worse. Mckay was on IV antibiotics for 3 days and then they sent us home with oral antibiotics. Mckay looks much better now that his eye is not swollen shut and discolored. Blood test results show that the infection is going away! We are so thankful for everyone's prayers and concern in behalf of Mckay. He is doing great now and is back to normal!

I haven't done so well with blogging the past few months. Ever since Scott got called to be the bishop of our ward in July life has been extra crazy Here's a quick blog to update our family.

Here are some pictures of what I haven't been able to blog:
1. Jackson's 3rd Birthday in August! We have a tradition of having a donut tower for the birthday person's birthday. Then we all help eat it!

2. Most of you know that Scott hates wearing suits. Well now he wears one all the time! If you have never seen Scott in a suit before, now is your chance! Doesn't he look good?!
3. The kids' first day of school! Jackson is now in preschool, Mckay is in Kindergarten, Kaitlyn is in 3rd grade, and Caden is in 5th grade.
4. Caden's 11th Birthday (which is actually today). Happy Birthday Caden!

The kids had their primary program today and they all did great. I think Caden is hoping this will be his last program, but it all depends on when next year's will be. I can't believe Caden will 12 years old next year and in Young Men's! The time goes by so fast!

Moab Trip!

Our family had a fun time in Moab last weekend for Scott's birthday! This was our first time going to Arches National Park. We went on a lot of hikes and saw some cool arches and other rock formations. The kids all did great! Scott took the kids on the Delicate Arch hike while I stayed behind with a grumpy Jackson. It was a challenging hike, but the kids all made it!

Soccer!

Over the past month Caden has enjoyed playing soccer for Murray Recreation. He has been able to play with other boys from his school. Their team, the Gators, has done quite well. They ended up being undefeated. Way to go Gators! We've enjoyed going to the games and cheering for Caden and his friends. I have to admit that I am glad soccer is over for now because it takes over your life for a few weeks! Until next soccer season life will be a little more calm!

Disneyland Trip!

We had a fun time at Disneyland and Legoland a couple of weeks ago! Since the kids had a whole week off, we went during Spring Break to use our "Give a Day, Get a Day" Disneyland passes. Mckay especially had a fun time because we went to Disneyland on his birthday. His Disneyland birthday pin got him a lot of attention from all of the employees. It was fun to see Mckay go on most of the rides, even the fast roller coaster rides, and get so excited about them since this was his first time of being able to enjoy Disneyland at this age. This was our first time going to Legoland. We were amazed to see the cities and buildings all made out of Legos. And the kids enjoyed all of the rides! We'll have to go again in a couple of years so that Jackson can enjoy Legoland more. He wasn't old enough or tall enough for most of the rides. But the older kids had a blast! It's definitely hard to be home!

Science Fair

Caden participated in his school's science fair last week! His project was titled "Battery Factory". He learned about how batteries work and made his own battery using pennies and nickels. Three students from each grade were awarded trophies. Caden received a trophy for his project! It was fun and a lot of work, but we're sure glad it's all over with!

Fun Weekend at Badger Creek

Our family had a fun time at Badger Creek in Idaho with Scott's family! We went sledding and snowmobiling! This was our first time of using a tow rope to help us get up the sled hill! We also had fun celebrating Valentine's Day with Scott's family by having a cousin Valentine exchange and fun activities! Scott has a wonderful family and we always enjoy being with them!

Chocolate Houses!

Our family has a fun tradition of decorating gingerbread houses every year with their cousins and grandparents. A few years ago my friend gave me the idea of doing chocolate houses instead. The kids loved it so much that we have changed to decorating chocolate houses. After decorating we love eating the candy and all of the chocolate! Here is this year's houses the kids decorated!

Baptism Day!

Kaitlyn's baptism was yesterday, Saturday, November 7th. She was baptized and confirmed by her dad. It was a good, spiritual day for our family. We enjoyed having family and friends there to share this special day with us! And the luncheon afterwards was yummy! It was fun to chat with everyone! What a great day for Kaitlyn!

Kaitlyn had a fun birthday yesterday! It's hard to believe she is 8 years old and getting baptized this week.

Last week Kaitlyn had a birthday party with some of her friends. Since she loves arts and crafts we had all of the girls paint some ceramic pumpkins, paint stain glass art, and make some cute necklaces. We also ate pizza for lunch and then decorated cupcakes and sugar cookies! It was a lot of fun! Kaitlyn was definitely spoiled with gifts this year! She can't wait to start working on all of the arts and crafts gifts she got from everyone!

For Halloween this year Kaitlyn was a witch, Jackson was Tigger, Mckay was a pit crew person, and Caden was Luke Skywalker. The kids had fun trick or treating and brought home tons of candy! We hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

Pinewood Derby!

We had a fun time at Caden's Pinewood Derby tonight! He won first place! That means his car was the fastest out of 16 boys! He won each round and ended up with a total score for four races of 10.457 seconds. Way to go Caden and Scott! And thanks to both grandpas for giving us some great advice and help on the car. As you can see in the picture, Caden got a trophy to stick his car on. This Pinewood Derby involved five different wards in our stake. The other picture I posted shows only the boys in our ward. As you can see, our ward did quite well. We ended up with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! This is probably Caden's last Pinewood Derby before he turns 11 next year, so we were so happy that he won first place!

Caden turned 10 years old yesterday! He invited some of his friends to a bowling party at the local bowling alley. The kids had fun bowling, eating pizza, eating a bowling pin shaped cake with doughnut hole bowling balls, and playing the arcade games. Caden was excited to receive some Lego Star Wars toys from some of his friends. He has read the whole series and has really gotten into the whole Star Wars thing. We gave Caden a new bike since his old one is too small for him now. Scott and I can't believe we have a ten year old. It went by so fast! It's definitely been a fun and challenging experience!

Our Boston Trip!

Our family had a fun family vacation in Boston and other New England areas last week. We were able to visit my sister and her family who live in Boston and see some fun things in the area. Since I can't figure out how to put a caption for each picture, you'll just have to figure out what they are.

In Maine we saw the Portland Head Light lighthouse, went to the L.L. Bean stores in Freeport (recognize the giant shoe?), played in the ocean, and of course enjoyed some Ben and Jerry's Icecream that is famous in New England. Scott served his mission in New England so it was fun for him to drive through some of the towns he lived and served in. We got to see some of the apartments he used to live in and some other sites he remembered from his mission. We also enjoyed trying chocolate covered blueberries. Yummy!

In Vermont we went to the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial which was fun for Scott since he had his district meetings there while on his mission. The kids enjoyed riding in a golf cart to some sites around the area. The missionaries there were so kind to our family!

Here are some of the things we enjoyed in Boston!
- The New England Aquarium and touching all kinds of sea animals. The kids especially loved touching the star fish.
- The Duck Tours where we went on a tour of the city on land and then going into the water. Our tour guide was great and we learned a lot of fun facts about Boston!
- Touring the USS Constitution, walking the Freedom Trail, and seeing the Minuteman Visitors Center
- The JFK Presidential Library and Museum
- The kids especially enjoyed riding the subway and trains around the city.

First Day of School!

This post is a week late, but the kids started school last Monday on the 24th. Caden is in 4th grade, Kaitlyn is in Second grade, and Mckay is in Preschool. They all love their teachers! As much as I enjoyed doing fun things with my kids over the summer, it will be nice to have them at school. In our family it is a tradition to take a picture of the kids on our front porch on their first day of school. It's fun to compare each yearly picture and see how the kids have grown!

Jackson had a fun birthday on Sunday! We can't believe he is two years old! We had his favorite food -- pizza-- for dinner. It was so cute to watch Jackson when we set his cake in front of him. He started singing "Happy Birthday", clapping his hands, and then blowing out his candles. One of his favorite gifts was a toy vacuum. He loves to vacuum the whole house now!

Today the kids thought it would be fun to have a lemonade stand as a last activity before school starts. We chose a hot day, but it got us some customers who also thought it was hot enough to need some cold treats. The kids made $13 in two hours! Now they want to do a lemonade stand everyday!

Family Reunion!

Our family had a fun family reunion with Scott's family last week! It was a stay-cation so we stayed with family members in Midway and Heber and then did things around the area and in Salt Lake. The first day we spent at Jordanelle boating and playing in the water. Unfortunately our minivan ended up getting a flat tire, so we had to put on the spare tire. The kids had fun helping Scott change it. The second day we went to Hogle Zoo and the third day we went to Raging Waters! The kids had a blast playing with their cousins and Scott and I enjoyed being with our siblings! Of the seven siblings, six of them were there with their families that included 14 grandkids. So we all had a fun time together!

The County Fair is Over!

For his 1st year as a 4-H member, Caden did great at the county fair. For those who don't know, Caden was involved in 4-H this summer raising a lamb with a group of kids. They took turns feeding their lambs 2 to 3 times a week and then learning how to walk them, jump them, and present them for the fair. Caden won second place in his lamb's weight category for marketing (which means the lamb looked great to the judge in terms of someone buying it). Caden also won first place in the portfolio competition and received $25 for his prize. All of the kids submitted a portfolio as part of their 4-H project. We were surprised that Caden won first place since this was his first year and we didn't know what we were doing. But we are so proud of Caden! Here are some pictures from the fair!

4th of July!

Our family had a fun 4th of July! We stayed at the Heber Valley camp Friday night with my parents and my sister's kids. We enjoyed going out on the lake in the boats and and doing the challenge course. The giant swing was fun but scary! And of course we enjoyed having smores and a delicious pancake breakfast. It always tastes better on a camping stove or over the fire!

We spent Friday evening with Scott's family in Midway having a delicious barbecue and doing some fireworks in the street. The kids enjoyed playing in their cousins huge sandbox. The highlight of the night was watching the fireworks on Memorial Hill from Scott's brother's driveway. We loved being with family for the holiday!

School's Out!

Our family had a fun weekend! Friday was the kids' last day of school so we celebrated by going to the Children's Museum. The kids had a blast! Jackson especially loved the section that had plastic balls that you could put into plastic tubes. He could have spent hours there watching the tubes suck up the balls he put in. Scott and the kids enjoyed playing the giant marimba! What talented musicians!

Every year our family has a tradition of making graduation caps treats for the last day of school. This year we made them with Ghirardelli Chocolate squares instead of chocolate covered graham cookies. Here is the result. They were yummy!

Saturday we went to the Air Show at the air base with Scott's brother and daughter! Scott's brother is a pilot so it was fun to share his love of flying with him, especially since Mckay seems to love airplanes and anything that flies. He kept asking us when we could fly in the airplanes! We had a great time watching all of the planes fly in the sky and especially seeing the air stunts! It was amazing to see what these talented pilots can do! I wish that I had better pictures, but it was hard since the planes were flying so fast. You just had to be there to experience it! We can't wait to go to the next air show in a few years!

Thomas the Train!

Yesterday I took Mckay and Jackson to the "Day Out With Thomas." The boys had fun getting their picture taken with Thomas the Train and then riding the train for a short trip. They also enjoyed the different stations you could visit before riding the train like building with Legos or playing with toy trains or meeting Sir Topham Hatt! Because of the price of the tickets I would recommend doing this only if your child loves Thomas and trains. It's definitely worth it, especially if you have 3 to 5 year olds! I thought Jackson was a little too young to enjoy the whole trip, but he liked the train ride. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay for Jackson's ticket since he isn't two yet! Yay!

By the way, I wanted to add that we had a weird thing happen to us this past week. A few days ago the bathroom mirror in our master bathroom fell off the wall all by itself. This is a 7 foot wide and 4 foot tall mirror so it's pretty big! The first time it fell it just came forward and ended up leaning against a towel rack on the wall. The other end hit a decoration on the wall and broke completely off. We made some phone calls to have a glass company come and measure for a new one. Unfortunately when I was preparing for the glass people to come measure I didn't realize that the mirror was resting on the container that was holding my jewelry. The entire mirror ended up falling down the rest of the way on top of me. I was lucky I wasn't hurt worse. The mirror scraped up my arm and I got a few cuts, but nothing too serious to require stitches. I'll have a bruised arm for awhile, but I feel blessed that I wasn't hurt worse when the rest of the mirror came tumbling down in pieces all around me or that my kids weren't there when it happened. So now I'm paranoid about the rest of the mirrors in our home. I'm going to make sure the new mirror is secure this time around!

Mckay's Preschool Program!

Mckay had his last preschool program for the year last week! They are always fun to go to because the kids are fun to watch. Some kids really get into the singing (or yelling the songs) and start dancing and some are just like Mckay that would rather not even be there and just sit there and mouth the words. At home Mckay loves singing the songs he learns but as soon as he is in front of a group of people, he gets a little shy. Hopefully he'll out grow this soon. But we had fun anyway watching the kids sing patriotic songs and spring time songs.

Tulips!

I love springtime because of the tulips! I was able to go to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point a few weeks ago and enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful, colorful tulips. I planted some tulips last fall in my own flower garden at my home and was so excited to see what they would look like this spring. And guess what? I found what I call a "twin tulip". You can see in the picture that this is one tulip plant but it has two tulips on it. Isn't that cool! I think this is a perfect tulip for me since I am a twin! I'll be sad when my tulips are gone in a few months, but I am enjoying them now!

Mckay's 4th Birthday!

Mckay had a fun 4th birthday yesterday! We had pizza for dinner and then an airplane cake for his birthday cake! Making an airplane cake was harder than I thought, so it didn't turn out as cute as the picture I saw online. But Mckay seemed to like it, especially because I used chocolate chips to decorate the plane. He also loved opening presents, especially his Cars shoes! He loves anything to do with Cars! Mckay also enjoyed his birthday donut tower. Our family has a tradition of making a tower out of donuts for the birthday kid. Because he turned four, Mckay got four donuts! He was nice enough to share them with his family!

I can't believe Mckay is four years old! That means it has been four years since I had all of the weird health problems. I definitely don't miss the time I spent in the hospital getting blood transfusions. I'm so glad I finally got better! It has been so fun to see Mckay grow into a fun, sweet little boy.

Mckay's Birthday Party!

Mckay had his first birthday party today! We had the party a few days early since our spring break starts tomorrow and some of Mckay's friends are leaving to go out of town. Mckay decided he wanted an airplane party since he loves airplanes. Thanks to the internet, I was able to make up some boarding pass invitations to give to Mckay's friends. At the party we painted small wooden airplanes, played airplane-themed games, and ate airplane-shaped brownies! I think Mckay's first party was a success!

Skiing!

Once a year our family goes skiing, so we finally decided we could afford it last weekend (thanks to getting our tax money recently). We decided to teach Kaitlyn (since it was her first time) and reteach Caden since he wasn't able to go last year because of a broken leg. The kids had fun and it was a perfect, warm day. We did night skiing at Brighton which was a plus since Friday nights are a 2 for 1 admission. By the end of the night, the kids got the hang of it and were skiing great down the easier slopes. Too bad we probably won't go skiing again until next winter. But we had a great time! We look forward to someday skiing more than once a winter and having the whole family go together!

Jackson's Eye!

We had a fun trip to the Urgent Care last night! Jackson and Mckay were fighting over a piece of paper. Unfortunately when Mckay finally got the paper away from Jackson it got Jackson's eye too. It ended up being a scratch on his cornea, pretty much like a paper cut on his eye. Apparently this hurts a lot because Jackson was not happy. The doctor put some ointment in Jackson's eye and then put a patch of gauze over it to protect his eye. Amazingly he kept the patch on all night even while he was sleeping. The good news is that his eye will be completely healed by tomorrow. For now we just get to put some drops in his eye, which is difficult to do with an 18 month old! We decided to take pictures of what happened so that we could remember this. We even got the actual paper that got Jackson's eye! The funny thing is that the kids are all smiley in the pictures!

Jackson's Walking!!

Jackson finally decided to learn to walk all by himself! He took his first few steps a couple of days ago and yesterday had fun walking around the house. He still falls a lot, but he's doing great! It's so fun to watch him walk without any help and get excited about it! He turned 16 months old yesterday, so we think he was just waiting for this day to start walking. He's been running around the house with his push toy, but deciding to walk on his own was a big step for Jackson. Yay Jackson!

Caden's First Pinewood Derby!

Caden had his first Pinewood Derby yesterday! Thanks to Caden's grandpa for his help and for letting us use his cabinet shop. After learning how to use the band saw, Caden was able to do most of his car by himself. It was fun to see Scott get excited about helping Caden with his car. Our family had fun going to the Derby to support Caden and the whole stake. Since Cub Scouts is on a stake level here, there were 35 boys/cars. So it took quite awhile to get through all of the cars. Caden did great on the first round. Out of the four times his car took first place each time! The second round didn't go so well. A lot of the boy's cars were having problems. Some of them even went off the track, including Caden's. So he didn't get to move on to the finals. But we sure enjoyed watching the first round! Caden had a blast and was a good sport the whole time even though he only ended up with a participation ribbon.

We had fun cheering for the last three boys in the finals since two of them were from our ward. They won first and second place! It was fun to cheer on the boy that won first place since his dad just had a brain aneurysm a few days ago and couldn't be there to see his son win. (Thankfully his dad will make a full recovery after being in the hospital for a few weeks.) We're looking forward to next year's Pinewood Derby. And Scott and Caden are already planning how they can make next year's car even better!

Happy Halloween!
The kids had a fun Halloween! Kaitlyn dressed up as Sleeping Beauty; Caden was Harry Potter; Mckay was Tigger; and Jackson was a cute chicken! We especially enjoyed the warm weather on Halloween night because it made trick-or-treating more fun with the kids. As usual we came home with too much candy!

Kaitlyn turned 7 the day after Halloween! I'll never forget 7 years ago going into labor on Halloween night. I even had one neighbor in Provo who came to my door trick-or-treating with her kids and predicted that I would have a baby that night because of the full moon. She was right! It just ended up being the next day by the time Kaitlyn came. We celebrated her birthday by eating at Denny's (one of Kaitlyn's favorite restaurants!).

It's Snowing!!

We woke up this morning to snow! And it's only October 12th! The kids went next door to feed my sister's cat this morning and bundled up to go. You can see in the picture my poor flowers getting snowed on. And to top it off, our furnace is not working! We turned it on a couple of days ago when it got cold and nothing happened! The repair guy came yesterday but said he won't have the part he needs until Monday. It's been pretty cold in the house. We've used double blankets on the beds at night and put a space heater in Jackson's room to try to keep him warm. We can't wait until Monday when we'll be able to have a nice toasty, warm home!

My sister does a great job taking pictures and is the family photographer for my other sisters too when she is in town. Thanks Carrie! To see the pictures she took of the kids look at the ones to the right. Unfortunately Mckay was having a bad day and didn't want his picture taken.

A New School Year!

I am so glad school started a couple of weeks ago! My kids were getting so bored. Caden started third grade at V... Elementary School. His teacher is Mrs. Crowell. He actually missed three days of the first week of school because he was sick with the flu. Kaitlyn started first grade also at V... Elementary School. Her teacher is Mrs. Forsythe. The flu was also passed on to Kaitlyn, but she only missed one day of school thanks to the long Labor Day holiday. And Mckay started preschool at Mrs. Karen's preschool. He loves going to preschool with his cousin and neighbor friends. He goes to scool on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays so on these days it's just me and Jackson! I'm enjoying doing grocery shopping and running other errands with only one kid. I'm not excited about all of the homework though. Caden's teacher seems to enjoy giving a lot of homework. At least he doesn't need too much help from me. I just get to deal with his complaints about how much he has to do.

Jackson turned one last week. For his cake we made brownies, which he loves. He had fun stuffing his mouth full of brownies!

Jackson's birthday reminded our family that we have been in T... for exactly a year now. It's hard to believe how fast that year has gone. This past week our family has reflected on the good times and the good friends we have in Provo. We still consider it our home!

The Family Reunion (Amy's family) was held at the Heber Valley Camp. Scott loved this location since he grew up in Heber. We had fun doing a Family Olympics, having smores, going to the lake to ride the pedal boats and canoes, doing a challenge course, riding waverunners at Jordanelle, and just being with family. The kids especially enjoyed being with their cousins. Of the 7 of Amy's siblings, only 4 could make it this year so it was a smaller group. But we had a fun time!

Family Reunion!

We got back from the Family Reunion late last night! It's so nice to be home. We enjoyed spending time with ALL of Scott's siblings at the cabin in Island Park and at Yellowstone. We especially enjoyed seeing Scott's sister and family that came all the way from Canada!

We also celebrated Scott's mom's birthday. If you know her well, you know that she hates anything to do with watermelon. Scott wanted to make sure we had a watermelon cake for her birthday cake. It actually was a strawberry cake with strawberry frosting. Thanks to Scott's sister Christiana for helping to decorate the cake!

Pioneer Day!

We had a fun Pioneer Day yesterday! The kids especially enjoyed the Days of '47 parade. We had a bbq at night with my family and then did some fireworks! Jackson loved watching the fireworks even though the noise was scary for him.

Last weekend we drove to Rexburg, Idaho for my sister-in-law's graduation from BYU-Idaho. After having our family picture taken on the campus there we realized we don't really have that many pictures of all of us together. We've decided we need to be better at getting all of us in our pictures.

We're excited to go to the Family Reunion next week! It will be a nice break for our family! I hope to post some pictures of our trip when we get back!

New blog

I decided to start a new blog for our family. I don't know how often I will post things, but I thought it would be fun to try it.

Jackson is 11 months old today! It's amazing how fast time flies. It seems like just yesterday we were living in Provo and I was extremely pregnant and ready to have baby number 4! We love having Jackson in our family! It's always fun having a baby around to keep things interesting and busy! We've enjoyed watching him learn new things like crawling and pulling himself up to standing.

Yesterday I had the fun privilege of getting together with a few friends from high school. We had a barbecue and got to chat about the good old days. It's been fun to keep updated with these friends. We try to get together every few years with friends that are still around. I can't wait for the next one!
